I’m Mike. My friends call me High_Gain_Mike because I’m intereted in radios, but also I can’t hear too well after years of loud music.

An engineer by trade and a hardware hacker at heart, I have been building drones, radios, robots, and other software and hardware oddities for the past 15 years. These are some of the projects I took the time to write down.

I’ve been a fan of the internet for most of my life. The birth of a decentralized network without borders was truly a special time. But in the last two decades, the internet has become more centralized and less open. You can either complain about the tech giant platforms, or provide an alternative. So this website is my alternative. No ads, no tracking, just a place to jot my thoughts down in case they resonate with anyone else.
